Our Philosophy
At CSI, we aim to provide our clients with services and products of exceptional quality. We believe that our work constitutes
critical contributions to improvement of the human condition, particularly in developing and transitional societies. In order
to do this job well and to support this belief, we carry out our work guided by five principles:
--Focus on client needs: We take special care in completely understanding the content and context of our clients' objectives
and their own approach to their work. In all aspects and stages of our assistance, we hold the practical usefulness of our
contributions toward the client's objectives as the highest priority.
--Technical rigor: In order to most effectively and efficiently meet client needs, we deliver our assistance at an excellent
and state-of-the-art level of technical quality, from design through implementation to product delivery and beyond.
--Deep substantive knowledge: We find that successful assistance involves a great deal more than "number-crunching."
CSI does not attempt to supplant a client firm or its employees, but we do consider ourselves part of a working team sharing
a problem-solving agenda with the client organization. Our substantive training and continued work in international development
across several technical sectors provides us with a firm foundation of knowledge that continues to support our analytical
work, training and facilitation.
--Getting the job done: Products delivered late or without sufficient attention to detail can be counterproductive to
clients' objectives. Timely delivery of "polished" products is key to our mutual success.
--Adherence to professional standards: In addition to client expectations, we conform to product and service guidelines
of relevant professional organizations. These include the Guiding Principles for Evaluators developed by the American Evaluation
Association.
